In 5749 (1989) the "Imrei Noam – Chasdei Moshe" Torah and Chessed Institutions were founded by Rabbi Avraham Yagen, zatzal.
When Rabbi Avraham Yagen was an illustrious yeshivah student, he received two offers from Torah institutions, one from the head of a famous Talmud Torah, who sought to augment his senior teaching staff with a Torah scholar. The other was to open and head a Kollel.
As was his custom when faced with important decisions, Rabbi Avraham Yagen consulted HaGaon HaGadol Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, shlita, and explained his dilemma. Rabbi Chaim instructed him to found a Kollel, and gave him his blessing.
With faith in the teachings of Torah sages, Rabbi Avraham Yagen immediately set about the holy task and, despite all the difficulties that stood in his way, he succeeded in founding immense Torah institutions with hundreds of students.
Rabbi Avraham Yagen, zatzal, passed away four years ago on the 11th of Menachem Av, 5775.
His son, Rabbi Yossef Yagen, shlita, was determined to continue in his father’s footsteps, and he invests all his energy in strengthening the Torah and the institutions in Israel.
